South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol arrived in Japan on Thursday for the largest state visit in 12 years between Tokyo and Seoul, which are trying to ease their historic tensions amid common security challenges.
North Korea also marked this trip in its own way, by firing an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) which fell in the Sea of Japan a few hours before the arrival of the South Korean head of state in Tokyo. .
