The return of Marcelo Longobardi to Rivadavia Argentina occurs in an electoral year like this 2023, where the political and social news of the country is in the foreground for debate and opinion.
The journalist, who was the leader of the first radio morning with Radio 10 and Miter AM for the last 20 years, left the latter station in 2021. His farewell then was tinged with emotion.
"It is a very complex and traumatic decision to make, the product of very deep personal questions," he said at the time.
"We all aspire in life to do something. Leader of something. It doesn't matter what. From a radio, a factory, a greengrocer or a family. We all try to be something. And I had the privilege of achieving it. And I lived with this situation several years," he added.
Reflecting on his time at the station, he concluded: "I was not that important, but I hope I have been something useful. Success is not one's own and at some point it has to be returned. Nobody is indispensable."
His time on CNN Radio
Later, in March 2022, he announced his arrival on CNN, where he started his cycle, also morning, on April 11 of that year.
However, his stay at CNN did not reach a year.
And the last time she was in charge of his program was last Monday, January 30.
The next day he was only there for 10 minutes because his wife had suffered an accident.
Longobardi's time on CNN Radio, despite the strong launch campaign,
failed to rebound as expected
and could not compete on an equal footing with Eduardo Feinmann, who was left with the space he vacated on Radio Mitre.
For this reason, his current move to Rivadavia would give him a greater chance of fighting for the top positions and recovering the desired audience.
Radio Rivadavia, for its part, in addition to incorporating Longobardi into the most competitive AM segment (which was temporarily occupied by Ari Paluch) from 6 to 10 in the morning, restructured its programming with other radio figures.
Among them, Jonatan Viale from 10 to 12 (instead of doing 15 to 17), Baby Etchecopar from 12 to 14 (instead of 12 to 15), Cristina Pérez from 14 to 16, Nelson Castro from 16 to 18, Luis Majul from 18 to 20, and Ari Paluch from 20 to 22.
