The singer Avril Lavigne was one of the stars of the Juno Awards gala, which was held last Monday, March 13, in Edmonton, Canada.
In addition to winning the award given by the public during the night, she confronted a 'topless' protester who slipped onto the stage while introducing another artist.
In the video that accompanies this news you can see the moment in which the spontaneous goes up on stage and the Canadian singer, laughing, asks her to leave the stage.
After the interruption, a security guard took it upon himself to take the woman away.
The protester had several graffiti on her body that suggest that her action was a protest against the controversial proposal of the Ontario government to build houses on protected land.
Some of the messages scrawled on the woman's body read "save the green belt," "take back the land," and "stop cutting down trees now."
Later, the
"Complicated
" singer received the TikTok JUNO Fan Choice award, and in her acceptance speech, she dedicated a few words to the event: "Nobody try anything this time," Lavigne said.
