It is imperative that you take your passport with you during your stay in Costa Rica.

If you are planning a vacation in Costa Rica, remember to slip your passport in your luggage!

This must be valid at least one day after the planned date of leaving the country.

Also be careful if your flight has a stopover: some countries through which you could stop require that your passport be valid for at least six months after the scheduled return date.

You will not have to apply for a visa if your stay is less than 90 days.

On the other hand, if you are planning a stay of more than three months in Costa Rica, you will have to establish an immigration file with the country's embassy, ​​located in Paris, or with the Costa Rican immigration authorities.

The country also has some specificities concerning the documents to have imperatively on oneself.

Already, you will need to have a return ticket or a ticket to another country.

You will also need to take proof of on-site accommodation with you.

In other words, you will not have to present a negative Covid test when you arrive on site.

Unless otherwise indicated (which will be clarified by posting in certain places), you will not have to wear a mask on public transport and in health establishments during your stay in Costa Rica.

Which airlines fly to Costa Rica?

Upon arrival, you will have the choice of two cities, San Jose or Liberia, to land.

Non-stop, count a little over 11 hours of flight to reach Costa Rica from France.

However, note that most flights have at least one stopover.

With a stopover, the journey will take approximately 13 to 15 hours.

Finally, if you opt for the two-stop option, expect more than 26 hours of travel by air.
