The Loire-Atlantique firefighters were in great demand overnight from Thursday to Friday.
Apart from extinguishing the numerous garbage fires in the city center of Nantes lit by opponents of the pension reform scalded by the use of 49.3 until late in the evening, they also intervened in two camps of travellers.
Each time, it was for fires.
The first deployment took place, around 3:30 a.m., in a camp located on Boulevard Salvador Allende in Saint-Herblain, a town bordering Nantes.
The firefighters, using three fire hoses, extinguished
“several carcasses of cars and a caravan”
, specifies the departmental operational center for fire and rescue (Codis).
For this operation, 16 firefighters were mobilized.
They were accompanied by the national police.

Area of 200m2
The second deployment took place, around 5:30 a.m., in a camp located Chemin du Moulin des Marais - near the Doulon-Bottière district - in Nantes.
Again, the firefighters used three fire hoses
"to extinguish several caravans over an area of 200m2"
and were accompanied by the national police services.

In both cases, no casualties were reported.
At this time, the circumstances of these multiple fires are not known.
