54-year-old Nir Dekal from Kibbutz Or Hanar is the man who went missing following the collapse of the crane into the sea off the coast of Ashkelon.
Dekal, married and the father of three, was working on the crane when it collapsed, and the community of the Shaar HaNegev Council, led by his family, has been conducting searches along the entire coast of Israel in recent days.
"We receive broad support from hundreds of volunteers who come to the beaches on foot and in addition with vehicles, drones and professional equipment, to scan the beaches and the sea," his family said.
"The area is wide and the currents in the sea change all the time. We need more volunteers to come and help. We call on everyone who can reach the beaches and search, every little thing can help."

The family added that it is located in the PAK that was established in the Delilah beach plaza in Ashkelon. "Those who want, can join the WhatsApp groups in order to participate in the searches along the beaches.
No knowledge or equipment is required, you can scan anywhere, even near the house, along the beach.
We would be happy for more volunteers to come during the weekend. Thank you to everyone who has responded to the call so far."
On Tuesday night, a crane collapsed at the dock at the Rotenberg power plant, which is near Ashkelon.
The police and rescue forces, along with a diver unit and the marine policing unit, searched for the two men who fell into the water during the collapse.
Finally, the body of Naftali Edri, a retiree of the Electric Company, who was killed following the collapse, was found.
"I saw the crane leaving the place, the two company employees started running to the office building located east of the position," said an eyewitness.
"The security guard went under the table, shocks started in the station, which in a second collapsed into the water. The security guard pressed the two emergency buttons, which did not work. One of the sailors said he heard shouts from the wreckage. I ran outside and saw someone standing on the crane and shouting 'I'm here'."
