The PP loses 1.8 points, Podemos drops almost three and Vox remains, although Abascal's popularity is less

The PSOE would win the general elections if they were held today with 32.7% of the votes, 4.7 points ahead of the PP, which also loses almost two points compared to the February poll, according to the March barometer of the Sociological Research Center (CIS).

The public body chaired by the socialist José Félix Tezanos points to a drop in Podemos, while Vox remains at 10%, which makes both formations practically tie in votes.

The field work, with 3,788 citizens interviewed, was carried out between March 1 and 11, in full controversy in the coalition government and its legislature partners for trans laws and only yes is yes,

The CIS, the only public or private polling body that gives the PSOE the winner in a general election (they are scheduled for December), once again predicts the victory of Pedro Sánchez's men, with a growth of 0.6 points compared to the previous barometer.

On the other hand, the PP of Alberto Núñez Feijóo, which the rest of the polls place as the winning party, drops from the 29.8% vote estimate that was awarded in February, to 28% today, that is, 1.8 points less.

The biggest drop, however, is the one registered by Unidas Podemos, which falls from the 12.7% previous estimate to the current scraping 10%.

Just above, with 10.1%, is now Vox (compared to 10% in February).

It is the first time in the CIS polls that the party founded by Pablo Iglesias is surpassed by the one led by Santiago Abascal.

The survey represents a respite for Ciudadanos, which rises four tenths to 2.4% of the vote in Spain as a whole, which allows it to maintain the options of revalidating representation in Congress.

Likewise, ERC rises to 2.5%, while its competitor in the wing of the Catalan independence movement, Junts, is stagnating at 1.1% of the national total.

Among those who know the leaders of the PSOE and PP, almost 32% of those surveyed say that the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, inspires them personally a lot or a lot of confidence, compared to 26.4% who said they felt the same way about Alberto Núñez Feijóo .

When asked which of the main leaders they would prefer as president, 22% favor Pedro Sánchez.

Alberto Núñez Feijóo is chosen by 15% and 9.6% appoint Yolanda Díaz.

On that list also appears the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, who is cited by 2%.

The Vox leader, Santiago Abascal, obtains 4.4% support.

In any case, the one who receives the best score from those surveyed is, once again, Yolanda Díaz (4.89 out of 10), while the Vox leader repeats as the worst qualified (2.68), in a downward trend which started in December.

The second best rated is Sánchez, with a 4.41, better valued than his PP competitor, Alberto Núñez Feijóo (4.28), with whom he has been alternating second and third place among the best valued since September.

The leader of Más País, Íñigo Errejón, goes up and approaches the president of the PP, which is very far from the score he obtained after taking over the reins of his party (5.20 in April of a year ago).

Inés Arrimadas (CS) drops very slightly, to 3.39).

Since May of last year there is no leader who exceeds five.

The news in the first week of March, the period that the CIS usually uses to do its field work, included the rise in inflation and the Euribor, and its effects on the economy of families, such as the loss of purchasing power, or the controversy over the departure of Ferrovial from Spain.

El PAÍS also published an interview with the Vox candidate for the motion of no confidence in which Professor Ramón Tamames was knowledgeable about Vox's "extremes" and assured that he was not there to defend the ultra party.

In the previous barometer, published on February 17, the CIS awarded the PSOE an advantage over the PP of 2.3 points, despite the fact that the surveys were carried out in the midst of a crisis due to the reduction in sentences for sexual offenders after their entry into force of the

80.3% of Spaniards say they have changed their habits to stop climate change

The vast majority of Spaniards have changed their consumption and life habits to try to alleviate climate change, so now they control more energy consumption at home, water use, recycle everything they can and use the car less.

The March barometer from the Center for Sociological Research (CIS) indicates that 80.3% of those surveyed have changed some of their daily practices to combat global warming.

However, 2.4% of those asked do not believe that humanity has contributed to the deterioration of the planet.

The survey reflects the degree of awareness in Spain about climate change, which worries 72.6% a lot or quite a bit, compared to 8% who are totally unconcerned.

86.7% consider that emissions from industry, cars, construction and all human polluting industries are contributing to warming the Earth.

But hardly anyone believes that the current situation can be reversed.

60.7% believe that at least the change can be stopped "so that the situation does not worsen", compared to 17.5% who see the change as irreversible and that nothing can be done anymore.

In the most optimistic camp are 14.8% who believe that it can be reversed.

But, despite everything, 80.3% of Spaniards take measures to stop the disaster as far as possible.
