It's a bit like Christmas for producers of fiction, authors, actors and, in general, the whole sector of French and European audiovisual creation: within the framework of the renewal of their TNT frequency (digital television terrestrial), M6 and TF1 reiterated their commitments to support them, via the agreements that the two channels concluded in February with professional organizations in the sector.
The TF1 group thus renewed its commitment to the creation of heritage works (fiction, creative documentaries, etc.), up to 12.5% of its turnover.
Legal obligations
The M6 group, for its part, increased by one point, to 11.5%, the share of its turnover devoted to heritage works.
It will invest 15% of the latter in the production of European audiovisual works or original French expression, including a share dedicated to independent works increased to 70%.
