The leader questioned that in both countries "criticisms that they are lazy and do not work" are heard.

The leader of Patria Grande

Juan Grabois

presented his book "The Worst" in the city of Rome, together with the former Italian premier and current deputy Giuseppe Conte, where he stated that in Italy and Argentina there are "the same

prejudices" regarding the "vague " who receive a social program

from the State.

"In Italy, 'the worst', those attacked and denigrated, are the ones who receive the reddito di cittadinanza.

The criticisms that they are lazy and do not work that are heard in Italy are heard in Argentina

," Grabois highlighted during the book presentation at Casa Argentina in Rome.

In this way, the social leader spoke of "the similarities of the denigration and stigmatization campaigns in Argentina and in Italy of informal workers who are part of the State's social and labor programs," according to a statement.

When asked by

Clarín

regarding the possibility of Grabois meeting with Pope Francis in Rome, his entourage responded: "I have no answer."

"The origin of the trip was due to his role as a member of the department for integral human development," the sources consulted detailed.

After the presentation of his new writing, Grabois made a post on his Twitter account: "Presentation of the book and debate on universal basic salary with the former Prime Minister of Italy, @GiuseppeConteIT and current deputy for @Mov5Stelle, creator of 'Reddito di cittadinanza'

The same prejudices on both sides of the pond.

For his part,

Giuseppe Conte

stated that he was "impacted" by the title of the book on the social reference.

"

It speaks of the fact that they are to blame for everything, the stigmas

. And that also happened in Italy, with the media campaign against this measure, and against those who perceived it, accused them of criminals," he argued.

"

I greatly appreciate the work of Grabois, which is born from a great moral inspiration.

This story later served the political forces to attack the reddito a cittadinanza and to carry out a

political campaign to dismantle it

", he pointed out in reference to the policies of the current prime Minister Georgia Meloni.

And he concluded: "

They have said that the measure favors black work or that because of them there will be no more seasonal work.

They are all falsehoods: our statistics institute certified that 2022 was the record year for seasonal workers."

As indicated by the communication team of the social referent,

the book "invites us to discuss fundamental problems of Argentine society

and present innovative proposals to solve them: the current forms of work and production, the universal basic salary and the popular economy; the question of security and crime, the public policies for the reintegration of those who recover their freedom, the problem of access to land and housing, among others",

Grabois's agenda continues in Lisbon, Portugal, where next Monday he will present his book at the Galveias Library and will hold meetings with specialists on housing and foreign debt.

Finally, next Tuesday he will arrive in the Spanish city of Madrid, where in the afternoon he will present his book together with Podemos deputy, Rafael Mayoral.
