The mayor of Murnau, Rolf Beuting, has criticized several council factions for "incorrect" numbers.
A special session on public transport is to take place on March 27th.

– The mayor's reaction was not long in coming: The daily newspaper article on the subject of local buses had barely appeared yesterday when Rolf Beuting (ÖDP/citizens' forum) invited to the press conference in the town hall.
It was important to him to clarify figures "because they are incorrect".
During a press conference of the Free Voters, Greens, CSU, More Move and SPD parliamentary groups, the operating costs of the on-demand bus were stated to be around 554,000 euros gross per year.
Beuting says that about 440,000 euros are correct.
"I find that annoying, that's not correct and fair." CSU parliamentary group spokesman Josef Bierling, who compiled the figures, sticks to his calculations.
What Beuting also dislikes is the information provided by the five parliamentary groups about the overall deficit.
According to them, it amounts to around 500,000 euros per year.
Beuting points out that the municipality receives “extensive funding”.
However, Bierling had repeatedly emphasized: “Tax money is tax money.
We all have to pay for that, even if it comes from a different pot.” However, Beuting finds this argument “strange.
Everything we do, we do with subsidies.” With other projects, such as municipal housing, no one complains that the municipality receives a financial injection from the state.
Philipp Zoepf, parliamentary group spokesman for More Movement, emphasizes that this is a "profitable investment".
In other words, the community has a house, generates income from rents and creates living space.

is not a mandatory task, but providing living space is.
Bierling also finds that Beuting's comparison is flawed.
Beuting has nothing to gain from a line-based system, as proposed by the five factions mentioned.
With two lines, an expert estimates that the bottom line would be a deficit of around 400,000 euros per year.
"We're on a completely different scale there," emphasizes the head of the town hall.
“A line-guided system is many times more expensive.” According to him, it would even be 800,000 euros if one day the train ran every half hour and the bus picked up passengers at the station every 30 minutes.
Subsidies from the “Mobility in Rural Areas” program cannot be called up for a regular-service bus.
This only works for needs-based offers.
In 2022, Murnau received 142,000 euros from this program.
Zoepf does not rule out that another funding pot will be available in two years,
Bierling finds the dial-a-bus and regular-service bus "difficult to compare".
But the CSU parliamentary group spokesman can imagine that the number of passengers could be "increased" with a linear system.
And the cost?
"It could be that it's just as expensive, but you get more benefits."
Bierling and Zoepf point out that the previous model, which the municipal council decided to end on June 30, has been exhausted.
"The system is reaching its limits and can no longer be developed," emphasizes Zoepf.
Sometimes there are long waiting times.
"That thwarts the idea of a call bus."
The special session requested by the five parliamentary groups will take place on Monday, March 27, at 7 p.m. in the culture and conference center.
Then, however, the citizens' application for the call bus and participation in the Blue Country Bus should also be discussed.
CSU councilor Rudolf Utzschneider complains that Beuting has scheduled a non-public workshop on public transport for Tuesday, March 21.
The Christsoziale has absolutely no understanding that the mayor is setting an appointment on "this topic that affects the public so much" where he wants to "lock out the public".
