This week, the Knesset plenum approved in first reading the passage of the enhancement.

According to the bill, the Knesset will be able to re-enact laws invalidated by the High Court with a majority of 61 members of the Knesset. The

proposal constitutes another pillar in the legal revolution promoted by the government. Justice Minister Yariv Levin and Constitutional Committee Chair Simcha Rothman have so far advanced the main part of the legal reform And that is changing the composition of the committee for selecting judges and canceling the possibility of the High Court of Justice to review or invalidate fundamental laws.
