Fans of the queen of cleanliness, Mrs. Hinch, have offered a variety of tips to prevent faded wrinkles in dark jeans that usually form after washing - and surprisingly, their tips won't cost you a dime

Jeans are perhaps one of the most common items of clothing in our wardrobe, but they don't always make our lives easy.

After washing, our jeans are often uncomfortable on the body, they may shrink in the high heat of the dryer or transfer color to other clothes in the washing machine.

One of the more common problems with dark jeans is the faded and really unsightly wrinkles that only get worse after washing.

One of the ways to solve this annoying wrinkle problem is to put the jeans in the dryer, but since the device consumes a lot of energy and we are all recently trying to save a little, a dryer is not exactly a suitable option for many.

What's more, the dryer may shrink the jeans and damage them.

How do you deal with this damage?

Fortunately, a cleaning junkie from the Mrs. Hinch Queen of Cleanliness fan group raised this question for discussion on the group's Facebook group and got an answer.

She wrote: "I love my black jeans but I hate that after a few washes they turn more gray - and I think they have wrinkles. Any advice?".

"Refresh your jeans: freeze them for an hour"

The cleaning experts in the group were happy to help and showered her with tips, with the most common tip of all being to do only one thing before who put the jeans in the washing machine.

The top tip was (predictably) to turn the dark jeans inside out before washing them.

One cleaning enthusiast suggested hand washing the jeans inside out - and not using fabric softener.

Another offered a colder wash for jeans, up to 40 degrees, when of course it's inside out.

Another pointed out that you should not load too many clothes in the washing machine because excess clothes can lead to unwanted wrinkles - not only in jeans.

One of the surfers concluded: "Turn the inside out and wash with similar colors in cold water and a minimum of soap. Do not load", and another added: "Machine wash at 30 or 40 degrees Celsius. Try to dry outside if you can."
