La K'onga shone in Vélez and the quartet made history with an unforgettable show

2023-03-19T19:38:20.632Z

In front of more than 40,000 people, the Cordovan band celebrated its 20th anniversary in a night that was as festive as it was emotional. There were luxury guests.

Nelson Aguirre, Pablo Tamagnini and Diego Granadé played the game of their lives with the

La K'onga

jersey .

And with that of the quartet.

They were clear.

Just as Fabián

Poroto

Cubero told them in the locker room prior to the show, in an ingenious video reproduced on the giant screens of the

Vélez

stadium .

And the natives of Villa María paid handsomely: they shone on stage and gave their audience a show that will remain marked forever.

Throughout two hours of an impressive show without respite, the Cordovan singers left their skin on the stage, as the players of the Argentine National Team did three months ago in Qatar.

Maneuver of destiny, it was the turn of La K'onga on March 18 to carry the flag of its gender to the highest.

"The quartet makes history"

, was the phrase that she read, heard and even breathed in Buenos Aires the days before the recital.

At the end of Saturday, that slogan changed and became

"The quartet made history."

A great staging accompanied a magical night.

Because the quartet band did not stop for a second to make their fans dance and rave: more than

40,000 souls

of all ages

who raved on the field and in the audience with an endless string of hits.

9:30 p.m. was the appointed time for Nelson, Pablo and Diego to appear on stage.

Dressed in black and with a smile from ear to ear, they hugged each other and gave free rein to the dance with

"If you tell me yes"

, the song in which the three of them put their voices.

"I have to hang up"

and

"I need to see you"

, performed by the always energetic Diego Granadé who rouses the public with his harangues, were the prelude to receiving the first of the six luxury guests that the night had.

Damián Córdoba

, another wide connoisseur of the genre, was the ideal partner ("brother", as they call each other) to give power to

"Te perdiste mi amor"

.

Intense body movements and complicit glances between the two ended up forming a perfect cocktail.

The happiness of the singers also moved to the fans.

Later on, Nelson's famous ukulele appeared, the one that he always throws at the public after playing the first chords of

"Ya no más"

, one of Pablo's most emblematic songs, which he continued with another of his most recent:

"I don't know goes".

But if we talk about emblematic themes, there is one that is unrivaled if a review is made of the two decades of life that the band has led.

"La cabana"

, released in 2005, lasted over time playing at any dance and wedding party

.

The Villa Dolores band sang to a full stadium.

At that crucial moment, one of the trumpeters came to the center of the stage and the first sounds were met with a huge roar from the audience.

"Will you come with me?" asked the charismatic Nelson, who infected people with his swing.

And there was no lack of the inevitable little step characteristic of the song.

After half an hour without brake, the first greeting arrived.

"Very good evening, Buenos Aires. How nice to start like this. We are building our first stadium, the quartet makes history," exclaimed Nelson with a smile that did not fade throughout the night.

There was a (big) reason.

"It's been 20 years fighting and rowing it

," he recalled excitedly.

And the ovation was not long in coming from all four sides.

Neither was the absolute shouting when Pablo spoke.

"I'll take this for myself", he returned, moved.

"

Thank you for defending our music everywhere

. Hold on to the music, hold on to the quartet and hold on to La K'onga," exclaimed the former Operación Triunfo, before singing

"I already found out"

, a moment that served as a joke from his partner Nelson while they danced: "The stage is great".

Another emotional moment of the night was when accordionist

Alan Gomez played the Argentine Anthem.

Behind, on the screens, the Argentine flag and colors were waving.

It was a minute that served for many of the fans to take their cell phones and start filming that unique postcard.

Before a stellar appearance, the night left the darkness for a while and became day when thousands of cell lanterns were turned on for

"The night without you."

A cappella, Nelson took a postcard that will be kept -as he said- for a lifetime.

The excitement peaked when he let the audience sing the chorus.

Vélez lit up when it was time for "La noche sin ti".

That little bit of peace and quiet continued for a few seconds.

"We are going to give him a song called 'Mira'. I like it a lot so I'm going to take the opportunity to enjoy it tonight. I dedicate it to my son, Dante," said Diego, while the almost 3-year-old boy he followed from the seats with his family who broke down in tears with emotion.

More guests and a luxurious closing

Nicki Nicole

, a reference to local urban music, did not want to miss the konguera party and they composed the quartet version of "Another Night".

The flashes did not take long to appear and the youngest were delirious with the interpretation.

Until that moment, an hour and a half of show had passed (flying).

No one in the public managed to look at the time or answer a WhatsApp message.

They did not want to miss a second of what was to come.

And more when an international figure appeared.

With a very canchero look,

Cristian Castro

burst onto the track to remake his song "Yo quiería", accompanied by Nelson.

True to his bold style, the famous Mexican singer even dared to throw a few cuartetero steps.

And he approved.

Cristian Castro, the big surprise of the night.

Another of the artists that could not be missing on such a special night was

Nahuel Pennisi.

Like other opportunities, the musician was very confident with LK.

And so came

"Parallel Universe"

, first with a guitar solo and then with the whole band.

It was one of the most anticipated songs by all, since it catapulted the band onto the big music scene: its video recently exceeded 125 million views on YouTube.

Nahuel Pennisi joined in to sing "Universo parallelo", one of the hits.

The closing was in full color and heat.

The last to join the 20-year celebration were the ragpicker

Luck Ra and Emanuel Noir (Ke Characters)  to sing

"Ya no vuelves"

with Diego .

The trio revolutionized the fans and caused a total roar throughout Vélez.

In the midst of endless fireworks,

"I would lie to you"

and

"El misma aire"

put an end to a dreamy night.

Supported by 12 musicians who were up to the task and a great staging that left no detail to chance, Nelson, Pablo and Diego demonstrated -once again- that the success that accompanies La K'onga is no coincidence.

La K'onga, heading to the US and Europe

After crossing the pond and breaking it in the Antel Arena in Montevideo (Uruguay), as they had already done in 10 Gran Rex and 3 Movistar Arena, the World Tour of La K'onga will cross the Atlantic.

It will be in June when they become

the first quartet band to play on European soil.

It will be presented twice in

Barcelona

, where it already sold out tickets for the first show.

And in addition to the capital

Madrid

, you will also visit other Spanish points:

Malaga, Valencia and Mallorca

.

The tour will have an epic close: on June 11 in

Dublin (Ireland)

and on June 13 in

London (England)

.

But there is more.

Prior to their trip to the Old Continent, the United States will also be able to enjoy the success of Nelson, Pablo and Diego.

Miami, Los Angeles, Virginia and New York

are the destinations on the agenda for May.

The Konga arrived in Times Square.

Precisely in the streets of The Big Apple, images of the Cordovan singers were already seen.

It is that the prestigious Billboard magazine chose them to star in the cover of its February issue and their image ended up being displayed in

Time Square

, an emblematic place where images of historical figures circulated worldwide.

From Cordoba to the world.
