French President Emmanuel Macron will take stock Monday with the Secretary General of the International Organization of La Francophonie, Louise Mushikiwabo, on the next major international events, including the Paris Olympics in 2024, the Elysée announced on Sunday.
The meeting will take place at the end of the morning at the Élysée on the occasion of the International Day of La Francophonie.
It will also be held a few hours before a crucial vote for the French executive and its pension reform, with the examination of two motions of censure targeting the government of Elisabeth Borne in the Assembly.

The discussion will focus on the implementation of joint projects in favor of La Francophonie as a vector of creation, economic dynamism and learning
", indicated the French presidency.
It will also make it possible to discuss the preparation of the next Francophonie summit which will take place in France in 2024, after that of Djerba (Tunisia) in 2022, as well as "
the place of the French language
" in the major international meetings in to come, including the Paris Olympics.
Emmanuel Macron will also return to the Francophonie component of his trips to Louisiana, the United States, in December 2022 as well as to Congo-Brazzaville and the Democratic Republic of Congo, the most populous French-speaking country in the world, in early March.
