Someone here will make a movie about it: a resident of Germany found her double on the Internet and murdered her - only to fake her death and disappear to her family.

According to the suspicion, the person identified in the German media as Sharban K., 23 years old, murdered the beauty blogger Khadija A., also 23 years old, in Ingolstadt, Germany, last August.

Khadija was brutally stabbed more than 50 times, and her body was found in the backseat of Sherban's Mercedes.

Sharban and her co-conspirator - identified as her partner, Shakir K. - have since disappeared.

Upon finding the body, the police discovered that the car belonged to Sherban's family.

Because the stabbed body was mutilated, investigators assumed she was the victim.

However, a post-mortem report revealed that the actual victim was actually Khadijah, leading to an investigation into the strange case that was dubbed the "doppelgänger murder" in the German media.

Last month, police charged Sherban K. with murder, with prosecutors saying she conducted an intensive Instagram search to find a victim who matched her physical appearance.

"It was confirmed that the accused made contact with several women via Instagram before the act, all of whom looked similar to her," said Attorney General Veronica Grazer to Bild. "It can be assumed that the suspect wanted to disappear, due to internal conflicts with her family, and fake her death."

According to investigators, Sharban contacted beauty blogger Khadija via Instagram last summer and sent her messages about beauty products and cosmetics.

She apparently enticed the victim to meet with her with the offer of a set of beauty products.

On the day of the murder, Sharban told her parents that she was going to visit her ex-husband in Munich.

Instead, she and her boyfriend, Shakir, allegedly picked Khadija up in a Mercedes.

At some point, investigators believe they headed into the woods where they stabbed Khadija more than 50 times.

The injuries to her face were so severe that she was unrecognizable.

After that, according to the suspicion, Sharban and Skir parked Sharban's Mercedes in a place where it could be easily found and left the body in the back seat.

The police were left confused after discovering that the victim was not Sharban as they first suspected.

They then checked her own correspondence on social media and found that she had contacted a number of potential "doubles".

They formulated the theory that she murdered one of the women in an attempt to fake her death.

They then tracked down Sharban and arrested her.

She has been charged with murder - and faces up to life in prison if found guilty of the heinous crime.

Shakir's partner was also accused of being an accomplice in the crime and similarly faces a prison sentence.

Police spokesman Andreas Ischl told Bild: "The murder weapon has not yet been found, but the burden of proof is enormous. The victim was murdered after more than 50 stab wounds. Her face was severely disfigured. It was extremely cruel. This is an extraordinary case that required the All the skills of the investigators. We don't have a case like this every day, especially with such an extreme twist. The day we found the body, we didn't expect it to be her story."
