Bruce Willis's family opens up about their "huge sadness" on his 68th birthday and posts an emotional video of the actor

Relatives of Bruce Willis shared their grief on the actor's 68th birthday after he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia a month ago, and released a video with a montage of images and the song As

Stevie Wonder.

His wife, Emma Heming Willis, posted an emotional message on her Instagram social network account in which she said: "I started the morning crying, as you can see from my swollen eyes and runny nose."

"I think it's important that they see all the angles of this," she added, referring to the interpreter's state of health.

Heming Willis said he received messages asking how he was coping with the diagnosis: “I have no choice.

I wish I did, but I'm also raising two kids.

I have moments of sadness and mourning, every day and I am feeling it more today on his birthday.

The 44-year-old model confessed that she was moved when editing a video with the Stevie Wonder song that she shared later.

“The videos are like a knife in my heart,” she said, “but just like I do it for me, I do it for you, because I know how much you love my husband and he means a lot to me.”

"My birthday wish for Bruce is that you continue to keep him in your prayers and highest vibrations because his sensitive Pisces soul will feel it," she wrote.

"Thank you so much for loving and caring for him."

Scout LaRue Willis, daughter of Bruce Willis and actress Demi Moore, also shared an emotional message with a photo on Instagram. 

In the description, the 31-year-old asked that they send "love, tenderness, affection and prayers" to her father: "He is one of my best friends, King Pisces, the master of duality, at the same time an icon of action hero and gentle dad.

“What a privilege to have this man as a father and learn so much about life, joy, mischief and art through him,” she added.

He acknowledged that this birthday was not an "easy day" and that "pain really shows us the depth of love for someone."

“Pain is a price I will always pay to know what it is like to feel so much love,” she wrote.

Tallulah Willis, daughter of the actor and Moore, 29, posted several photos with him on the social network.

“I am inundated with all the good energy and love going out to Willis,” she wrote.

"I love him and he loves me, what a joy!"

announced that he had been diagnosed with aphasia and would leave the cinema.

Shortly after, they reported that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a rare type of this progressive condition that affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain. 

After attending a gala of the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration, Heming Willis thanked her husband and family for their support.

“Thank you for welcoming me to my new home,” she wrote on Instagram, “not the place I ever dreamed of let me tell you what, but it is full of love and resilience.”
