A bakery was broken into over the weekend.
Thanks to an attentive witness, a man was arrested in Peißenberg shortly after the crime.
Peißenberg - On Saturday, March 18, shortly after midnight, a witness heard suspicious knocking noises from a children's playground in Peißenberg and informed the police.
When the first patrol crew arrived, the witness stated that a person dressed in dark had recently left the playground.
A broken cash box was found on the playground, according to a press release from the police headquarters in Upper Bavaria South.
Another patrol was able to find a dark-clad person a little later near the playground.
When the man, a 24-year-old local, was checked, a knife, cash in various denominations and several beverage cans were found.
When searching the area, the emergency services finally came across a bakery on Sonnenstrasse, where the front door had been pried open.
The sales room showed considerable devastation.

The man was arrested on the strong suspicion of breaking into the bakery and stealing cash and drinks from there.
The further investigations were initially carried out on site by the Weilheim Criminal Investigation Service (KDD).
In the meantime, investigators from the responsible K2 department are continuing this.
At the request of the relevant public prosecutor's office, an arrest warrant was applied for against the 24-year-old.
The man was brought before a magistrate at the weekend, who ordered him to be held in custody.
He was then taken to a correctional facility.
