Hallbergmoos

– Countless commuters were massively affected.

As reported by PI Neufahrn, the 44-year-old Ford driver was coming from the B 388 at 6.35 a.m. on the B 301 in the direction of Hallbergmoos.

"He tried to overtake other drivers and missed an oncoming Mercedes Sprinter," reports Chief Inspector Dieter Lerchl.

The 55-year-old driver of the sprinter, who came from the Nandlstadt area, slammed on the brakes and wanted to swerve, but was unable to prevent the head-on collision.

According to current knowledge, both drivers were slightly injured and taken to the surrounding hospitals by the ambulance service.

Both vehicles were so badly damaged that they had to be towed away.

A Ford from Landshut driving behind the Mercedes was also affected by parts flying around.

According to the police, the total damage is around 10,000 euros.

For the duration of the accident recording, the B 301 had to be completely closed until around 9 a.m.

This led to massive disruptions in commuter traffic.
