A Condor holiday plane has to turn around halfway to Frankfurt Airport.
Problems with the weather radar in the middle of the Atlantic force the crew to turn back.
Frankfurt – The passengers on Condor flight DE-3800 already had their destination in mind.
From Frankfurt Airport they should go straight to the start of the Caribbean cruise.
But nothing came of it – at least for the time being.
Because over the Atlantic the journey to the French overseas department of Guadeloupe was over for the time being.
This is evident from the flight data on the flightradar24.com portal.
Almost four hours after takeoff from Frankfurt on Friday (March 17) and about halfway through the flight, the Condor crew decided to turn around again in the middle of the Atlantic.

Problems with the weather radar: holiday plane returns to Frankfurt Airport
The reason: As the aviation portal
Aviation Herald
reports, the weather radar in the Boeing 767-330 (ER) failed.
"There was an error message on one of the ads," confirmed a Condor spokeswoman to
Hessenschau
.
So the 154 passengers went back to Frankfurt Airport, eight hours after take-off the plane touched down in Frankfurt again.
Just recently, a Condor plane to Mauritius encountered severe turbulence, injuring 20 people on board the Airbus A330-941.
In the end, the travelers to Pointe-à-Pitre fared much better.
After an overnight stay in Frankfurt, the plane took off again on Saturday (March 18), this time landing in the Caribbean without incident.

.
There the vacationers finally got on the cruise ship, which had already started its journey.
