A series of concessions for Palestinians was approved today (Monday) in preparation for the month of Ramadan, which will begin on Wednesday.

As part of the concessions, worshipers will be allowed to enter the Temple Mount, and bus shuttles from around Judea and Samaria will be allowed.

In addition, the positions at the various crossings will be expanded to facilitate the security check and to avoid overcrowding and congestion.

As part of the preparation of the Jerusalem District police for the month of Ramadan, more than 2,000 police officers will cover the area in several formations.

The reinforcement will focus on four Fridays during Ramadan when tens of thousands of Muslim worshipers are expected to ascend the Temple Mount.

In the last two months, Ben Gabir confronted the deposed commander of the Tel Aviv district, and the commissioner attacked the former's conduct regarding the management of the protests against the legal reform when he made it clear that he would manage the district under his leadership according to his understanding. After that, the commander of the Jerusalem district, Superintendent Doron Turgeman, may become to the next superintendent who will be at the forefront of the minister who may intervene in the policy of managing the district in this sensitive month in relation to the conduct of the forces and the police response to disturbances in East Jerusalem and the Temple Mount. Last week Minister Ben Gabir held a preparatory meeting with the police in which he was presented with the operational plans for the month of Ramadan and the spring holidays and at the end of which he

confirmed the minister the plans. But it is not clear how the minister will conduct himself and act in front of the police and a commander in the district in the coming month, as I recall, at the last command staff meeting the commissioner made it clear to his subordinates that any approach to them from the minister must go through him.
