It is a failure for democracy, and it increases the gap between the President of the Republic and the French people.
There will be a before and an after and considering a five-year term that looks like the end of a reign as it has just started after having humiliated Parliament and the people raises many questions.
The other major fact is the entry of a large part of the Republicans into the presidential majority.
I think Les Républicains have become an impossible equation, among them, there are people who think like Macron and those who think like Le Pen.
