International observers from the OSCE on Monday called on Kazakhstan to continue democratic reforms, while noting progress in the largest country in Central Asia in the aftermath of early legislative elections.
The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe considers that "
the legal framework still needs to be modified to provide a sufficient basis for the holding of democratic elections
", while noting that reforms already allow "
greater choice
" for the electors.
