In any case, the 45-year-old was spoiled for choice in the jam-packed brewery - there were all sorts of illustrious gentlemen from the region in the audience, such as Falk Sluyterman, mayor of Schongau, his counterpart from Peiting, Peter Ostenrieder, and numerous other dignitaries, at whose desks the fortunes of their community are decided.

For example the said Ostenrieder.

But not only Brother Cengiz provided fun and entertainment - the focus of the several-hour evening with plenty of culinary and musical interludes was of course what everything in a brewery naturally revolves around: the royal beer, which this year bears the "Fastinator 2023" seal of approval.
Master brewer Stephan Albrecht created the Doppelbock with an original gravity of 18 and an alcohol content of 7.5 percent.
Exactly three taps were needed before Mayor Falk Sluyterman was able to announce to great applause: "O'zapft is!"
