he parted ways with the studio on Friday
, sources say.
Alonso had been with the company since the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, establishing an enviable 17-year career and seeing the studio grow from operating out of a Mercedes-Benz dealership in Beverly Hills to being acquired by Disney and becoming the franchise with highest grossing in film history.

Alonso joined the studio in 2006 as head of visual effects and post production, and helped launch the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe) as a co-producer on 2008's
Iron Man
. She served as a co-producer on
Iron Man 2
(2010),
Thor
(2011) and
Captain America
(2011).
Alonso was then promoted to executive producer on
Avengers
(2012).
The film grossed $1.5 billion.
The Argentine has served as an executive producer on subsequent Marvel releases, and has also worked on the Disney+ television series.
In 2021, she was promoted to President, Physics and Post Production, Visual Effects and Animation Production.
When the premiere of "Argentina, 1985" was held in Venice, Alonso (on the right) showed handkerchiefs in reference to the disappeared.
In addition to her behind-the-scenes work, she's been a top ambassador for the studio's representation efforts and spoke out during Disney's uproar with Florida over its Don't Say Gay bill.
"As long as I'm at Marvel Studios, I will fight for representation," Alonso, who is gay, said at the time.
