The teachers' organization announced today (Monday) the continuation of sanctions in educational institutions in several localities in Israel tomorrow.

The announcement said: "In light of the Ministry of Finance's contemptuous and disgraceful behavior towards secondary education teachers, and the humiliating and offensive proposals of the Ministry of Finance to teachers, the teachers' organization has decided to intensify the measures."

Accordingly, they will start tomorrow in layers 10-11 in 12 localities at 12:00. The localities are Baka El Garbia, Be'er Tovia, Be'er Ya'akov, Be'er Sheva, Beit El, Beit Barel and Ami Assaf, Beit Jan, Beit Yerah, Beit Shemesh, Beitar Elit, Bnei Brak and Bat Yam.

The chairman of the organization, Ran Erez, said: "We will not stop until the salary of teachers starting in secondary education is at least 12,000 NIS, and the salary of veteran teachers rises accordingly. We will not give a hand to the continued humiliation of secondary education teachers in Israel. The sanctions continue the cycle that began last

week in the 11th grade in an attempt to advance their demands for an increase in teachers' salaries.

These include a salary of NIS 12,000 for beginning teachers, and a 30% increase for all high school teachers and middle school teachers who are members of the organization.

The finance proposal, published by the ministry about a month ago, includes an increase in the salary of beginning teachers with a bachelor's degree to 9,800 and 10,677 for a beginning teacher with a master's degree - an increase of NIS 1,300-1,000.

In contrast, the oldest teachers will receive an additional 300-470 shekels.

Along with this, the Ministry of Finance demands personal contracts and flexibility in the employment of teachers, compensation for outstanding teachers and easing of the dismissal procedure.

According to the office, the proposal has not changed since then.
