Microsoft does not hide its plans for the future, and it wants to establish a mobile store that will compete with Apple and Google.
Recently, Phil Spencer, the CEO of Xbox, addressed the issue during an interview with the Financial Times website and noted that Microsoft is already preparing for the launch day of this new platform, and even has an estimated window of time for when it will happen. Google and Apple will have less than a year to make changes to their platforms and devices in accordance with the law.
Spencer believes that they will try to delay these changes until the last minute, on March 6, 2024 - which is the date when they aim to launch the Xbox mobile store: "We want to be in a position to offer our exclusive content and third-party content to every possible screen and to everyone who wants to play ".
"Currently we cannot do this on mobile devices, but we are trying to aim for this goal as soon as possible and develop for more devices," Spencer explained.
Microsoft very much hopes that the regulators will approve the purchase of Activision-Blizzard-King, because it is a very essential key part in the realization of its plans.
Spencer noted that Xbox plans to build on Activision-Blizzard-King's mobile player base and thus effectively attract them to their platform.
