The Chief of Staff of the Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir, Hanmal Dorfman, serves in this capacity and in this capacity signs official documents on behalf of the ministry - even though he is not a civil servant - this was published today (Tuesday) in Israel.
According to the report, his status has not yet been settled, even though three months have passed since he took office, and it is not clear by whom he is employed.
The Civil Service Commission confirmed this and stated that "Dorfman is not a civil servant and so far the employment agreement has not been signed with him".

Among other things, Dorfman himself sent a letter last week to Commissioner Kobi Shabtai, and signed as "Chief of Staff of the Minister of National Security". In this letter, he asked the Commissioner to make changes to the police spokes division, which include the cancellation of standards approved by previous Minister Amr Bar in addition to cuts of 25% of the fixed standards in the division.
Haaretz quoted a senior police official as saying about the fact that Dorfman signs official letters even though he is not an official employee: "In the current situation, it is simply impersonation."
There was no response from Ben Gvir's office.
