On the first anniversary of the death of Yvan Colonna, who died as a result of his attack in prison, the Corsican National Liberation Front (FLNC) claimed responsibility for 17 attacks on Tuesday March 21 in a press release, and once again denounced the policy of the state in the island.

On the death of the independence activist, after his attack on March 2, 2022 at the central house in Arles (Bouches-du-Rhône), where he was serving a life sentence for the assassination of the prefect Claude Erignac in 1998 in Ajaccio , the FLNC speaks of a "

state crime

".

He accuses the “

French institutions

” of wanting to “

stifle (…) a revenge operation by the great bodies of the State

”, in this authenticated press release sent to

Corse-Matin

.

This three-page document is accompanied by a list of 17 attacks targeting second homes, including the commando action on Sunday evening which targeted three houses under construction in the towns of Villanova and Alata, near Ajaccio.

“A settlement colonization”

According to the clandestine independence movement, the policy of "

multiplying building permit authorizations and facilities for the benefit of settlement colonization

", that is to say for the benefit of non-Corsican residents, is a strategy which "

consists in denying the rights of the Corsican people on their land

”.

Nationalist activists warn "

banks that finance construction loans or the purchase of houses for French people, and insurance companies that insure their property

".

Regarding the ongoing discussions between the elected islanders and Paris, after the commitment of the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, in March 2022, to discuss the future of the island, until "potential

autonomy

" , the FLNC refuses in advance "

any status of administrative decentralization

".

As long as we do not know the ins and outs of the future institutional evolution, if it sees the light of day, we will be obliged to keep active our fight for the preservation of our people

”, insists the FLNC.

The end of the text concerns the new clandestine organization GCC (Ghjuventù Clandestina Corsa), officially appeared in February, which explained walking “

in the footsteps of the FLNC

”.

The FLNC takes note of this "

appearance of a new clandestine acronym

" but nevertheless regrets that "

a little haste (had) made them take the paternity of actions

" which were in fact its own: "

This method is to ban

", warns the text, recalling that the FLNC, "

has not yet ceased its fight for the freedom of the Corsican people

".

The last press release from the FLNC dated back to July 11, 2022.
