The culture market is experiencing a boom among painting groups and photo enthusiasts.

Exhibitions are also planned.

Wartenberg – The culture market Wartenberg has increased its number of members to 105.

At the general meeting in the Hotel Reiter it became clear that this increase is primarily due to the two active groups in the club.

The painting group, led by Helmut Schneider, has grown to ten active members, and the photo friends, led by Wolfgang Kronseder, now have 15 members.

The next calendar published by the trade association will be artistically designed by the painting group and not by the photo group, as Schneider reported.

The painters are grateful for the opportunities that the school premises offer.

A coffee machine was procured, but also a hair dryer to dry watercolors.

Both groups are planning their own exhibitions for 2023. This became clear during the presentation of the program in the rider’s adjoining room, which actually became a bit cramped given the number of members who came, because there had to be space for a projector and a view of the screen.

A painting course for children lasting nine days is outstanding, in which, under the direction of Monica Baumann, the children are to be brought closer to various painters under the heading "Art history for children".

The next date is Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. in the Wittelsbacher Saal in the old school building, where Franz Marc will be the subject.

The works of the children between the ages of nine and twelve will later be presented in a separate exhibition.

More children can join them here, registration on Tel. (01 76) 56 78 64 93.

The entire annual program for 2023 will be put online these days, announced Chairwoman Jutta Paulini, but also made it clear that the homepage also needed an overhaul.

Twice, on March 31 from 7 p.m., the drums of Ifeanyi Okolo will sound in the same room during an "open drumming for adults". Readings and puppet shows, chamber music and two times women's cinema with a surprise film are on the program.

However, the question arose as to what a “women’s film” was.

Paulini actually had to think a bit, then said that they were simply “beautiful” films.

Measured against this, Stephanie Weltrich-Streit's cash report was not for the faint of heart, it showed a clear minus.

The largest expenditure items were fees for artists at almost 2700 euros.

Exactly this purpose of the association was also the topic of Deputy Mayor Carla Marx.

The offer is an "insane win for the Wartenberg market." klk
