The circumstances of the attack on an 85-year-old woman on Monday in Nice are reminiscent of those of the attack on Angèle Houin, left for dead by three minors on August 29, in Cannes.
Here again, the motive is despicable and the loot derisory.
The facts occurred at the end of the morning, rue Gounod, in the heart of the city.
A gang of three teenagers, aged 15 and 16, attacked the octogenarian with the aim, it seems, of stealing his handbag.
The victim was violently thrown to the ground and left to his fate on the macadam.
Alerted, the firefighters and the municipal police immediately went to the scene.
At the time of his care, the octogenarian suffered from a wound in the head but his vital prognosis was not engaged.
She was hospitalized immediately.

Postman's cart stolen and found
Using the city's CCTV cameras, city officials quickly tracked down the three fugitives.
They were arrested without difficulty around 12:15 p.m., less than an hour after the incident.
In addition, shortly before the assault, the three offenders had stolen a mail carrier from a postman.
This was also found, despite the disappearance of some of the envelopes.
An investigation was opened and entrusted to the legal support group of the Alpes-Maritimes departmental security.
It is not known at this stage whether one or more complaints, of the octogenarian in particular, have been filed.
