Or Ascher, who was murdered in an attack on Dizengoff Street in Tel Aviv, is being laid to rest at this time in the cemetery in Moshav Ness Harim.
Dozens of friends, relatives and family members came to accompany him for the last time.
Lee Menachem, Or's partner, paid tribute to him wearing a shirt from the last "Iron Man" competition in which Ascher participated: "A few months ago I told my girlfriends that already on the first date I felt after three minutes that we were connected in soul. You gave me a taste of what true love is. Love I have never been loved in my life. You gave me confidence. You proved to me that there is a different kind of love. No one in my life has ever seen me the way I was when I was with you. You are the most amazing person I have ever known in my life," she said.
Friends who delivered obituary speeches described Ascher as a happy, kind-hearted person, and referred to the death of his father who passed away just last year.
"I promise that we will remember you forever and that I will take you with me to every peak that I reach and I will continue to talk to you at every low point. I will remember you in the beautiful moments. I am sure that you are sitting there with your father up there, wondering about us",
