It is in the town of Eldorado, where they kidnapped computer storage devices, documentation, and notebooks. They identified those who hacked the Buenos Aires minister.

Justice raided this Tuesday four homes in Eldorado, Misiones,

linked to the case that investigates espionage and identity theft against

Marcelo D'Alessandro,

the Minister of Security and Justice of the City of Buenos Aires, who is currently on leave but he would be replaced in the next few hours by Eugenio Burzaco.

As Clarín was able to confirm, the Specialized Prosecutor for Computer Crimes and Contraventions (UFEDYCI), in charge of Daniela Dupuy, requested a series of procedures that were endorsed by the Justice of Misiones, in which they proceeded to requisition addresses linked to the people

who they stole the telephone line and manipulated the conversations

that the official would have had through Telegram.

In the raids, at the request of the prosecutor, computer storage devices, documentation and notes that may be linked to the investigated maneuver were also seized.

The suspects are charged with crimes of aggravated damage, violation of secrets and privacy,

unauthorized dissemination of intimate images or recordings, digital identity theft, among other charges that may arise from the seized evidence.

Judicial sources explained to

Clarín

that

they identified the alleged perpetrators of the hack,

which not only affected D'Alessandro, but also the deputy Diego Santilli;

Judges Rodrigo Giménez Uriburu and Andrés Basso (both of the Highway Administration case);

the City Attorney General, Juan Bautista Mahiques;

and the judges Mariano Borinsky and Gustavo Hornos (who must review the sentence of Cristina Kirchner).

The cybercriminals, who would be linked to intelligence sectors,

according to their modus operandi, tried to hack the phones of these officials since May 2022, but they only obtained their first access to one of the devices last September, when they first accessed with the Basso, Hornos and Giménez Uriburu lines.

And later, in October, with those of Santilli and D'Alessandro.

The news of the procedure is known the same day that the decision of the Buenos Aires government to replace D'Alessandro, who requested leave in the midst of the scandal that caused the leak of his alleged chats with judicial officials,

by

the former Secretary of Security of the Nation, Eugenio Burzaco, who would take office next Thursday, after a meeting between Horacio Rodríguez Larreta and D'Alessandro.

As reported by

Clarín

at the time, the system used to commit the crimes was the so-called Sim Swap, which was activated from Eldorado, Misiones, a town mentioned in cases of similar characteristics linked to illegal intelligence operations.

Judicial sources explained to

Clarín

that the criminals made a mistake that allowed the Cybercrime area to identify the perpetrators of the act.

It was when they checked the information of the victims in the RENAPER databases.

The gang, as indicated by the investigation, resorted to an accredited user in the agency's databases to obtain the numbers of the DNI procedures of the victims.

At that time, the criminals left their digital footprints (IP and IMEI, among others) in different operations, which allowed the Justice to identify its members and determine that they had been carrying out scams and data theft for some time.

Through different hacking techniques,

the gang violated the security controls of the telephone companies, taking full control of the lines,

with unrestricted access that allowed them to modify, adulterate, and manipulate the messages that were later disseminated by leaders for several months. and Kirchner media.
