Obertraubling – On Monday morning, March 20, 2023, a serious accident occurred in Obertaubling in the Upper Palatinate.
A truck lost a trailer of its articulated train at around 9.45 a.m. at the entrance to the town.
It hit an oncoming vehicle.

the impact was said to have been so strong that the car first broke through an iron fence - then the driver, a 76-year-old man, was trapped between the trailer and a tree on the side of the road.

Firefighters had to free the seriously injured man from his car.
The passenger of the 76-year-old was also injured.
She and the seriously injured victim were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
