The return of spring is the perfect time to plan green getaways. On the occasion of the International Day of Forests this Tuesday, March 21, our selection to sleep in pretty nests nestled in the trees.

We have never been so thirsty for nature, for green, than after having lived confined between four walls.

Good news, the forest does us good and it's science that says so.

To reconnect with nature and childhood memories, cabins are more than ever in tune with the times.

And contrary to what one might think, comfort is often there.

No matter how much we want to sleep in the trees, most customers are afraid of ants and spiders.

This is how the first huts with a trunk crossing the habitat gave way to off-centre models, with no visible branches.

The proof with these cozy nests rather perched.

Le Chêne Fou is a bicentenary tree, huge and magnificent, 1h30 from Paris, in the heart of Perche.

It consists of two cabins at 8 and 10 m from the ground and a shared terrace (37 m² terrace included), all on 3 levels in a single tree.

There are 2 large cabins perched at 8m and 10m and a terrace with table and bench wrapped around the trunk at 14m - all on 3 levels in a single tree.

Rather basic comfort, a small bag is given on arrival, containing battery-powered and rechargeable lamps.

The hut is equipped with dry toilets and a small basin… But the real plus is being able to share this experience as a tribe, up to a maximum of 9 people (8 adults and 1 child).

The packed lunches, made with fresh and local products, must be ordered 3 days before the stay.
