This is undoubtedly the last episode of the bad soap opera of “Partygate” Boris Johnson appeared on Wednesday before a parliamentary committee which must determine whether or not he lied to deputies about the holidays in Downing Street, in the midst of a pandemic.
If the answer was yes, his dreams of returning to business could be shattered for good.
In his usual fashion, “BoJo” appeared combative during this television audition which lasted several hours.
"Hand on heart, I assure you, I did not lie to Parliament,"
he said in the preamble.
Before that, he had taken an oath on the Bible, promising to tell the truth.
Opposite him, seven parliamentarians (4 Conservatives, 2 Labor and 1 Scottish independence SNP).
The former Prime Minister was surrounded by his advisers, who were not authorized to speak, but could pass notes to him.
