The political revolution reaches the most intimate relations of the ministers on the field correspondents, this time those of the Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir in front of the police correspondents, some of whom announced that they would boycott the annual toast held by the minister, this due to the non-invitation of Haaretz sect Yehoshua (Josh) Breiner for the event.

The annual toast is actually the main annual event held by the minister, which is also a sort of background conversation and briefing for reporters.

This is a long-standing tradition that crosses governments and ministers.

Breiner published this week in Haaretz that Hanmal Dorfman, who serves as Ben Gabir's right-hand man, functions as his chief of staff and in this capacity signs official documents on behalf of the ministry - he is not a civil servant.

According to the publication, although about three months have passed since Ben Gvir took office, so far Dorfman's status has not been settled, and it is unclear whether and by whom he is employed as an employee.

In response to Ben Gabir's boycott of Breiner, News 13 police reporter Yossi Eli announced that they would boycott the event.

Following him, Moshe Nussbaum from News 12 also said that he would not come for the same reason.

A similar incident occurred about a week ago, in the group of political reporters, when in the group "Likud Spokespersons" - which serves as a message distribution group for the Likud party and is managed by the Prime Minister's spokesman Yonatan Urich - they removed News 12 reporter Yaron Avraham from the group.

In an almost declaratory act, Israel Hayom reporter Ariel Kahana was also removed after him.

"Likud Spokespersons" serves as a public space for official announcements on behalf of the Likud to the journalistic public, and the reason for Avraham's removal was things he said after the Prime Minister's statement a few days ago, in which he attacked Netanyahu for his behavior in front of the media.

In response and as an act of solidarity, several of Israel Hayom's correspondents, the political correspondents of Walla!, left the group.
