Counter Strike 2 (Valve)
Earlier this month it was revealed that Valve is working on a sequel to its long-running and popular team-based shooter Counter Strike 2. Now it's becoming official and the game is getting an early testing phase for a limited number of players.
The big launch?
Already this summer.
At Valve, they selected the players according to several conditions that were important to the development team: the reliability of their set account or their playing times in Counter Strike.
It is important to note that this will be a free update to the game, and players will be able to keep all the skins and items in their possession when it is eventually released.
They will all get to enjoy the new graphical upgrades.

The official game website states that this is the technical leap that the series has longed for for years.
This confirms to us that the new game will run on Source 2's in-house game engine - Valve.
The last time it used this engine was in the virtual reality game Half-Life: Alyx.
This will allow Valve to continue updating and revamping the game in the coming years, mainly because the current version is considered outdated.
The use of the new engine brings with it a host of innovations concerning the physics of the game: grenades, for example, have become dynamic objects that react to the environment in a much more natural way.
In the attached videos you can see smoke dispersing during battles from whistling bullets or the head of a wind - an aspect that adds much more realistic elements and creates competitive opportunities that we haven't necessarily encountered before.

The servers and their stability with the engine has also become more reliable, and players can expect more accuracy and immediate responsiveness while playing.

The Source 2 engine also allows graphic renovations that will make the game experience cleaner and brighter.
As is Valve's tradition, it will also release tools for players who want to create their own content and then offer it for sale in Steam's Workshop.
In the meantime, we are waiting for an update on when the full game is expected to be released, and hope that Valve is already working on Half-Life 3.
