In the middle of the pre-selection stage of participants to define who will be the 16 finalists who will compete to be crowned the winner of this edition of
MasterChef Argentina 2023,
there was a story that moved the three members of the jury:
Belén, 30 years old and mother of four boys
, told who dreams of being a cook, because as a girl she went hungry.
"I wanted to study cooking but later I gave up with the children and everything. I make pictures, I do campaigns and a little bit of everything," he commented when
Donato De Santis
wanted to know about his passion for cooking.
He then
revealed the grim life story of him during his childhood.
"As a girl I was very hungry, so I think it comes from there that I like cooking.
They abandoned me, they left me in a square,
a family grabbed me. We lived in a very precarious neighborhood, in a shack.
We were cartoneros, we asked for yesterday's bread in the bakeries.
I mean, I was really hungry. And I think that from the desire to eat and have food, I like it, I enjoy it and I love to eat", .
Belén surprised with her green chicken and her life story.

Belén prepared a green chicken, to which she added cream and white wine.
While Donato de Santis tasted his dish and made comments like "the chicken is well cooked",
Belén was moved.
"I'm very sensitive
," he explained when asked the reason for his tears.
The first to give his return was precisely Donato, who after trying the menu told him that "It's quite good, there are things to improve. You have a lot of affection. The potato was very tasty. The dish came out very generous and very honest.

's turn

Germán Martitegui
who gave his verdict.

I'm not going to talk about the dish, it seems to me that you deserve this opportunity
and it seems to me that we deserve the opportunity to have you around for a while and teach you how to cook. So I'm going to give you a yes... and an apron," he said, as he put on the apron that marks acceptance into the program.
Immediately afterwards, Belén ran into another sector of the studio, with the apron in her hand, where
Wanda Nara
was waiting for her to congratulate her and give her a hug.
"I cried all of it. I dedicate it to my children and my husband
," she said, as she wiped the tears from her eyes.
Belén hugged Wanda and was happy for having passed the first test.

Her story was quickly picked up on social networks and many followers of the program declared themselves fans of her.

The judges evaluate the dishes that each one of them makes according to her own choice.
By virtue of the result, they decide whether or not the applicant deserves to go to the next stage in which 24 people will remain.
Only 16 of them will enter as participants in the reality
