MK Ram Ben Barak Mish Atid said today (Wednesday) in the Knesset plenum that he supports the reservists' refusal to report to the IDF because of the promotion of legal reform.

During his speech, Minister Ofir Sofer asked Ben Barak whether he condemns the use of refusals.

"I encourage all the protests against the legal coup, by all means," replied Ben Barak.

"If people who oppose the reserves think it's time to stop volunteering and this is their protest - I definitely support them."

Ben Barak added: "I served in the Mossad for 34 years and as part of my service I did unpleasant things. Some of them were not easy for me morally, but I did it in the name of the kingdom and because I knew there was a judicial review of these decisions and whoever makes them takes everything into account."

He also said: "If I were the officer at the Mossad, I'm not sure I would have done it. If I knew that behind the decisions I had to make were people who were not subject to judicial review - I doubt I would have done it."
