Penzberg – An unknown person pried open a mailbox directly in front of a Penzberg supermarket.
Particularly annoying: the mail has disappeared.
The incident happened right in front of the entrance to the Rewe supermarket on "Straße des 28. April 1945" in Penzberg: on the night of Monday (March 20) at around 8:20 p.m. and on Tuesday (March 21) at around 5:40 a.m According to the police, an unknown perpetrator pried open the mailbox there.
The perpetrator stole the contents.
The Deutsche Post was damaged in the amount of around 1500 euros.
But it gets even worse: people who put in letters after the last mailbox was emptied before 8:20 p.m. "can assume that their letters were stolen and therefore cannot be delivered," according to the police.
The Penzberg Police Inspectorate asks for witness references by calling 08856/92570.
