She is so
worried
and finds the performance of adults so deficient, that Antía, at 14 years old, thought it was time to write a letter to the media to talk about
bullying
.
She searched the
Clarín
website and wrote the 1,200 characters indicated.
But since Antía is a minor, she feared that a newspaper would not publish her message.

Argentina
is one of the countries with the most cases of
bullying
and cyberbullying
in the world.
Seven out of ten boys, girls and adolescents know what it feels like to be
harassed or mistreated
in the classroom, according to the survey of the Bullying without Borders association corresponding to 2021-2022.
The figure reveals an
increase
in cases of 20 percent compared to the previous study, which had been carried out in 2019. There are 14,800 minors who suffer.
That violence was also palpable in a school that Antía passed through.
But what moved and drove her was Alana's
suicide
in Catalonia.
"I am worried about a recent event. Two Argentine sisters decided to throw themselves off a balcony to end their lives, after a long fight against bullying. The 12-year-old
twins
were
harassed
and physically hurt by their classmates in Spain", wrote Antía.

from the desk
It will be said that there are programs and
rules of coexistence
.
This is how things are seen from the desk of a 14-year-old girl: "The subject of bullying is one of the most talked about in schools. Educational
psychologists
go to give talks, campaigns are held, etc. But, in my opinion, it is what more has been happening in recent years.
"The school psychologists
never listen
or do anything to try to solve the boy's problems –Antía denounces–.
It is a shame
that these same people later call themselves 'coexistence teachers'. More and more
boys are beaten or humiliated
to return to home, even though they have pointed it out to the teachers".
Barcelona: this Tuesday, in front of the institute where the Argentine twins studied, hundreds of people called for themselves in a march called "of silence".

Regarding the recommendations, they do not seem to be effective: "Their coexistence manual is
disastrous
and basic. They always encourage young people to tell their problems so that they can help them later, but in the end
they never do anything
. I am sure that many families must have some kid at school having a hard time.
For this reason, Antía's letter closes with a request: "Please, if any school administrator comes to read this, I beg you to
check
how your coexistence department is working."
