Details of the cause of death were also released.

Freudenberg – Less than two days after the disappearance of 12-year-old Luise from Freudenberg in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Siegen, it is clear: the girl was the victim of a violent crime.

Her body was discovered on Sunday morning (March 12), according to police and prosecutors.

An autopsy was then carried out.

As of Tuesday afternoon (March 14), pending autopsy results, police had not released any information on the suspect and the possible cause of death.

According to media reports, however, two children were targeted by the investigators.

There was talk of two children who are considered urgent suspects.

At the request of

IPPEN.MEDIA,

the Siegen-Wittgenstein district police authority initially did not want to provide any information.

But in a press conference by the public prosecutor's office and the police on the Luise case, confirmation was given: The 12-year-old was allegedly killed by two girls aged twelve and 13.

The three girls are said to have known each other.

12-year-old Luise killed: The cause of death is known so far

According to the police, information about the two alleged underage perpetrators came from the population, whereupon a hearing was ordered.

In the survey, in which the legal guardians of the 12 and 13-year-olds were also present, the girls finally admitted to the crime.

The autopsy report of the forensic medicine department of the Mainz University Hospital also revealed Luise's cause of death: According to this, she died from "numerous knife wounds" and the subsequent significant loss of blood, said a police spokesman at the press conference.

How many punctures it is and whether both children committed the crime or just one, the police left unanswered.

What is certain, however, is that the place where she was found in a wooded area a few kilometers from her parents' house is also said to be the scene of the crime.

Case Luise (12) from Freudenberg: exact murder weapon still unknown

As far as the murder weapon is concerned, the police and prosecutors have not yet been able to provide any information.

Be sure that it is one or more knives.

However, these would continue to be sought.

"After more than 40 years of service, this case leaves me speechless.

We are currently not looking for any other suspects.

We are still looking for further evidence in the area," said Jürgen Süs, Vice President of the Koblenz Police Headquarters.

As a result, there is still an increased police presence on site.

The chief public prosecutor, Mario Mannweiler, did not give any background to the case and the motives for the crime, referring to the personal rights of the underage suspects.

The two girls are now in a “protected place”.

Because they are still under 14 years of age, they are, among other things, under Article 19 of the Criminal Code.

But that doesn't mean that "nothing will be done now," stressed Mannweiler.

The case is now "put into the hands of the youth authorities".

On Saturday, March 11, 12-year-old Luise from Freudenberg in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Siegen was reported missing by her parents.

She had not returned home after visiting a friend.

After a female body was found Sunday morning (March 12), it was announced that she was the missing girl.
