For the coming, the last week of March, both the American and the European weather model actually predict a severe winter relapse for Germany.

"Snow, frost and ice" are to be expected.
The weather expert also provides the explanation for the wintry conditions in spring: A high pressure area over the Atlantic interrupts the mild south-west flow, and low air pressure over the Baltic and Eastern Europe also causes changed flow conditions over Central Europe - these turn to north-west to north.
At the beginning of the week, the maximum values are only in the single-digit plus range, and local double-digit minus temperatures are even possible at night.
"Late winter is not over yet," warns Graf.

Kathy Schrey outlines the way there, because the temperatures are slowly dropping.

It starts this Thursday (March 23), when "shower weather across the country" is to be expected.
Although it will still be "quite mild" at eleven to 19 degrees, "even in the lowlands the wind will have picked up".
Thunderstorms are to be expected in the northwest.
The night brings new rain clouds almost everywhere, only in the south it is supposed to stay dry.
The values drop to seven to twelve degrees.
It's wet on the weekend.
“Friday will be wet for all of us.
And then the first frontal thunderstorms will come to us, ”predicts Schrey, who speaks of temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees.

It gets really uncomfortable from Saturday, when local thunderstorms are supposed to come down.
Sleet thunderstorms must also be expected.
But that's not all.
Schrey advises against activities outside the home and especially cycling tours, because it gets very windy: “In the higher elevations of the low mountain ranges, there are sometimes strong gusts of wind.
In the Alps we even have hurricane-force gusts, also in the Black Forest.” The latter is spoken of at speeds from 103 km/h.
The thermometer shows eight to 14 degrees.

Schrey speaks of a "cold advance early next week".
And it has it all: "On Tuesday morning after sunrise the frost is back." Heavy frost is even to be expected in the Alps.

Without the warming companion in the cold, only a few are likely to go outside in the frosty spring days.
