Controversy: the billionaire owner of Porsche asks for a divorce from his wife, who suffers from dementia

Wolfgang Porsche, billionaire executive of the multinational automotive company, asked his wife for a divorce because she suffers from dementia.

"For me everything became unbearable," described the executive.

The decision is not without controversy and opened the debate on social networks. 

Sources close to the couple say the 79-year-old mogul finds it "impossible" to live with his wife, Claudia Porsche, 74, whose failing health has permanently altered his personality, the Daily Beast reported, citing German newspaper Bild. .

The billionaire, who entered into a relationship with Claudia in 2007 before marrying in 2019, reportedly cited her illness and these "drastic changes" in her personality

as reasons for the split.

The executive met his partner in 2007 and got married in 2019.

Claudia, a former adviser to the German government, was unable to move without help for months, the outlet reported.

For the past two years, she has relied on 24-hour care from her daughter and four housekeepers.


Meanwhile, her future ex-husband is believed

to have been spending time with her longtime friend, 59-year-old Gabriela Prinzessin zu Leiningen.

Twice divorced, Gabriela married her first husband, Prince Karl Emich of Leiningen, in 1991, before their union fell apart seven years later.

Just a few months after divorcing the prince, she married the 86-year-old Swiss Karim Aga Khan IV.

Her marriage to the 49th Imam of the Nizari Ismailis lasted 16 years before their divorce in 2014.

Wolfgang, who resides in Austria, was previously married to director Susanne Bresser in 1988. The couple had two children before divorcing in 2008. He also shares two children with Claudia.
