A 46-year-old was seriously injured and was taken to hospital by ambulance, due to the explosion of a LPG cylinder inside a car in via Alberelli, in the Borgo Panigale area, on the western outskirts of Bologna.
The explosion occurred during a refueling operation at a petrol station, causing significant damage to the structures.
Firefighters and 118 also rescued three other people, who would not have needed treatment, however, and are making the area safe.
The carabinieri of the Compagnia di Borgo Panigale are proceeding with the findings.
From the first investigations there would be no doubts about the accidental origin of what happened.
