The climate activists are stuck in protest - but that should be the end of it.

The city has imposed a ban on the transport of permanent glue.

And that will be expensive.

He glued himself to the street for the climate - but that should be over now!

Because activist Wolfgang M. should no longer be allowed to transport his protest weapon.

"I have a superglue transport ban for Munich," he explains in a video that is distributed via the short message service Twitter - and causes discussions.

Because: Because Wolfgang M., according to his own statement, violated it, he should fork out 1000 euros!

"For a superglue that I didn't use and just had in my pocket," he explains in the video.

Wow.

In Munich there is a 1 "#superglue transport ban" (most German word *ever*!) - accordingly, the mere transport of #superglue can be fined with a fine of €1000!#LetzteGeneration pic.twitter.com/DhjTwP2d0x

Yes, the superglue transport ban - which sounds strange and has irritated some Twitter users - really does exist.

The district administration department (KVR) confirms a corresponding order at the request of our newspaper.

According to a spokeswoman, seven people have been banned from carrying and using superglue and similar adhesives in the city since the end of November.

This preventive measure is only valid for a limited time, for a few days or a few months.

It is intended to prevent further cardboard campaigns, a violation is expensive.

1000 euros are due - an exception can only be requested for professional reasons.

The Munich KVR wants to deter repeat offenders

Wolfgang M. speaks of a fine in his video.

According to the KVR, however, it is a “compulsory payment”.

The difference: Certain permanent adhesives would know in advance what financial consequences a violation would have.

The KVR is not about restricting freedom of expression in general - but about deterring repeat offenders.

The ban on the transport of adhesives is "a milder means against individuals who have already appeared through numerous actions".

The arrangement therefore only affects Wolfgang M. and his well-known comrades-in-arms.

The last generation still wants to continue their protest

The activist's video appears to have been taken while he was being checked by Bavarian officials.

The protests brought the activist a lot of trouble: Among other things, Wolfgang M. was sentenced to 30 days in custody in the Stadelheim prison.

In protest, he once threatened to go on a hunger strike - the police then wanted to have him medically monitored.

And the new ban?

He doesn't care much: he wants to break it and "transport superglue at Marienplatz," he says in the video.

When asked, The Last Generation states: “Our protest will continue until our demands are met.

From jail to fines: the criminal record of the activists

On February 23, 2022, activists of the last generation had stuck themselves for the first time - on access roads at the airport.

Since then, Bavaria has been taking a hard line against the permanent climate stickers.

Some of them were sentenced to custody in Stadelheim.

But many were also in the dock - because of coercion, resistance to law enforcement officials, damage to property and dangerous intervention in road or air traffic.

As of February 7, 2023, there were 101 proceedings in Munich.

21 judgments were pronounced with fines of up to 160 daily rates.

In total, activists in Bavaria had to pay a fine of over 7,500 euros.
