More than 90 Knesset members from the coalition and the opposition signed the initiative of Knesset member Hili Trooper, which was first published in Walla, to keep Memorial Day out of the political controversy.

Among the signatories of the initiative letter: Yair Lapid, Benny Gantz, Bezalel Smotrich, Simcha Rothman, Yariv Levin, Avigdor Lieberman and more.

Among other things it says: "We, friends and women from all factions of the house, call on everyone - public representatives and the entire people of Israel, to refrain from bringing the debate into the cemeteries and the holy days of Israeli identity."

Yesterday it was announced in Vala that against the background of the fear of disruptions of the protest against the legal revolution for the Memorial and Independence Day events, MK Hili Trooper (the state camp) began to sign Knesset members from all the Jewish Home factions in the Knesset on a joint call to "leave the Memorial Day out of the controversy".

Lavala learned that Troper contacted representatives from each faction and asked them to sign the call: "We friends and women from all factions of the House call on all public representatives and all the people of Israel to refrain from bringing the debate into the cemeteries and the holy days about an Israeli identity that was built here. No statements, from any side, that touch on the controversy The big one that is tearing us apart these days."

Transport Minister Miri Regev called on Likud members not to sign the initiative promoted by Trooper, since the document does not include a reference to the Independence Day ceremony and the events of Holocaust Day.

Regev, who is responsible for the torch-lighting ceremony on the eve of Independence Day, sent a recorded message to the faction members urging them not to sign the document because "at the moment it does not include the Independence Day ceremonies. If they want our signatures, then please - Independence Day, Remembrance Day, Holocaust Day - Heaven Outside of political debates."

In a recording published by journalist Amiel Yerachi of the Kippa Regev website, she said that she spoke with a troper about the issue and "from his point of view, he cannot commit to Independence Day. If we sign such a document, it basically means that we can riot over the Independence Day ceremonies. In my opinion, it is not right to sign a document Such because we don't intend to riot. They mostly pass it on to their people - who intend to riot. If they want our signatures, then please - Independence Day, Memorial Day, Holocaust Day are put outside of political debates."
