A violent night was experienced again this Wednesday in Ensenada, where
two factions fought over the leadership of the La Plata section of the UOCRA
and who respond to Juan Pablo "Pata" Medina;
and Iván Tobar, respectively.
It is estimated that some 60 people participated in the incidents and left a balance of
one shot, one stabbed and two injured
.
Only two of the violent were arrested by the police who suffered damage to four of their patrol cars during the operation to control the situation.
According to various local media reports, the conflicting sectors are fighting for jobs in a project run by the company Aguas Bonaerenses SA (ABSA), which provides drinking water service in La Plata and its surroundings.
The confrontation began around 11:00 p.m. in the area of the ABSA Plant located in Fuerte Barragán.
In that place, a group of people who respond to Cristian "Puly" Medina, son of the former head of UOCRA La Plata, Juan Pablo "Pata" Medina
, who at the time was accused of alleged illicit association, extortion and money laundering, was
demonstrating.
.
It is not yet clear how the incidents started but there was a fight between the protesters and one man was shot in the chest, another was stabbed in the neck and two others sustained injuries.
All were transferred to Cestino Hospital.
One of the wounded, who was identified as Hernán Montenegro, 40, escaped from the hospital, police said.
This person was admitted with a puncture wound to his left leg and a cut to his scalp.
The other people admitted are Facundo Alejandro Ochoa;
Samuel Acosta, 36, with injuries to his upper lip and left molar, and an unidentified man, with a gunshot wound to the chest.
While Marcos Ahumada, 40, and Nahuel Esquivel, 23, were arrested during the confrontations for the crimes of abuse of weapons, attack and resistance to authority, serious injuries and aggravated damage.
Police personnel from the Ensenada Patrol Command, the Departmental Support Group and the Infantry Corps participated in the operation to control the violent.
The investigators analyze the images from the Municipality's security cameras with the intention of identifying the attackers.
In October of last year both factions faced each other in a grill in Ensenada.
After the violent, Brian Medina, Pata's grandson, was bloody on the networks and promised revenge: "I'm going to kill them."
At that time, the reason for the internal union dispute would have been that unionists referenced in Pata Medina entered the restaurant because they were removed from the works of the energy company Alfredo Evangelista SA, better known as AESA.
