Bavaria's Minister of Education, Piazolo, gives all students in Bavaria the day off from school on the Monday of the strike if their bus or train is not running because of the strike on Monday.
Munich – Because of the warning strike on Monday, students can stay away from class under certain conditions.
“There are special regulations for schoolchildren who cannot come to school because buses and trains are canceled and who have no other way of traveling: you can stay at home on Monday;
In this case, however, the school must be informed in any case," said Minister of Education Michael Piazolo (Free Voters) on Friday of the German Press Agency in Munich.

Rural school buses may also be affected.
Since these are mostly small, private operators of the school bus lines, there is a high chance that nobody will go on strike and that most buses will still be running.
Piazolo: Despite the strike, lessons are taking place!
"The warning strike announced for Monday will also affect many students and teachers in Bavaria on their way to school.
Despite the strike, regular classes will take place in schools in Bavaria on Monday - many of them come to school on foot or by bike, for example," emphasized Piazolo.
Depending on the situation on site, flexible special solutions and further measures are also possible in individual cases, such as the relocation of announced performance records or distance learning for individual grades, said Piazolo.
"The students and their legal guardians receive any information about this directly from the schools."
