The funeral of Francesco Pio, the 19-year-old killed by a gunshot on the Naples seafront in Mergellina

in the night between Sunday and Monday,

will take place on Saturday morning at 15.30 in the church of San Lorenzo Martire in via Montagna Spaccata .

This was announced by the parish priest don Enzo Cimarelli, underlining that the parish community and the entire Pianura district will gather in prayer to greet the young Francesco Pio.

THE WITNESSES

- There are more than one key witnesses to the murder of Francesco Pio Maimone.

They provide precise indications which, together with the acquired videos and the investigations by the Flying Squad, practically

leave no doubts about the perpetrator of the crazy act, carried out for a dirty shoe after having stepped on his foot.

Since Tuesday on charges of voluntary homicide aggravated by mafia methods (ratified by the investigating judge yesterday)

an almost homonymous of the victim has been locked up in the Secondigliano prison: 19-year-old Francesco Pio Valda.

Some have seen "a person dressed all in black" who "exploded more than a gunshot" in the crowd before walking away

"suddenly in via Caracciolo in the direction of the Primavera restaurant".

The witness, interviewed by the State Police, was among the young people in front of the kiosk at Sasà's that tragic night.

He reports having seen "an individual holding a pistol (from the analysis performed by the Scientific Police of the nose cone found at the scene of the tragedy it will emerge that it was a Smith & Wesson revolver in 38/357 Magnum caliber) and with this he fired several times between the crowd; then ... noticed Maimone (who was with two friends) wounded in the chest and 'in shock' while being desperately rescued by some friends".

There are also those who report having seen the shooter well and describe him: "...

I saw this boy in front of Sasà's chalet, about 175 centimeters tall, blond with short-cut hair on the sides who was wearing a green hooded sweatshirt.

I think the same exploded 3 or 4 pistol shots... the people present shouted that they were blank shots...". The witness also reports being able to recognize the shooter. Another also provides the description of the type of gun. Another explains to the investigators the reason for Valda's mad gesture: "I heard some boys having an animated discussion.

From shoes (a pair of Louis Vuittons) and clothing they moved on to who are you and who am I... I've seen them a couple of times... they always had the same altered attitude". After 10- 15 minutes later the witness reports that he heard gunshots and saw many young people walking away "just up to the cameras".

THE GIP -

For the investigating judge of Naples Maria Luisa Miranda who yesterday validated the detention and ordered the prison for the 19-year-old Francesco Pio Valda, accused by the Flying Squad and the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office of the aggravated voluntary homicide of Francesco Pio Maimone (the 18-year-old killed by a pistol while eating peanuts with friends, on the seafront of Naples, the night between Sunday and last Monday) the dynamics and the responsibilities of the incident are certain.

"It is evident - he writes in the ordinance issued yesterday - that thanks to the statements made by three of the subjects present at the events, who were right together with Valda at the scene of the crime, the dynamics of the facts are certain, the reason underlying the dispute and the perpetrator".

"The three, in fact, in accordance with each other - explains the judge - clarify the dynamics,

LOOKING FOR THE GUN

- Investigations by the Naples Flying Squad continue to shed light on the murder of Francesco Pio Maimone.

At the moment, there is no trace of the weapon, a 38-caliber revolver, used by the alleged assassMonica.Diamanti@ansa.ito, 19-year-old Francesco Pio Valda, nor the sneakers of a well-known brand that the boy was wearing, according to a testimony that triggered the quarrel, to which the victim was completely extraneous: the two groups of young people, that night, would have clashed precisely because someone had soiled them by stepping on them.
